• Reid Myers has been riding bikes since an early age, with most of his time spent on fixed gear and BMX bikes due to their low cost and urban popularity in his hometown of Rialto, CA. Reid played club baseball from youth until High School, where he then played a combination of flag football, basketball, and volleyball. His passion for cycling started to gain traction around this time when he founded the Loma Linda High School Cycling Club with a couple of friends. Reid’s passion for cycling grew after heading off to college, as it became his main mode of transportation. He stumbled across the Search for Speed program a few years later while working at Cyclery USA. He saw that the shop followed Search for Speed on Instagram and immediately delved into the tryout process. His efforts paid off, as he is now part of the Track Sprint Development Program. He is currently studying for his BS:ME with a minor in Manufacturing and Welding Technology. When he isn't studying he can be found under his car making modifications, playing video games with friends, or out chasing KOMs on a fixie.

  • Sterling Reneau, a former Track and Field athlete, was born and raised in Missoula, Montana. After graduating from the University of Montana in 2019 with a degree in Exercise Science Pre Physical Therapy, he decided to change his focus from one track to another. He has been around cycling in some capacity his whole life but made cycling his main sport after retiring from a 15-year running career. Since 2022 he has lived in Scottsdale, AZ where he works as a Professional Cycling Analyst/Bike Fitter with hopes of breaking into the world of track cycling. After participating in the Search for Speed program, Sterling’s cycling dream became a reality, as he now trains with the US National Development Team in Los Angeles. When Sterling isn’t training or working, he is usually walking his dog, spending time outside, personal training, or hanging out with friends and family.

  • Catherine “Cat” Hamilton came to Search for Speed from Olympic Weightlifting and Rowing. A Philadelphia native, she started her rowing career at 10 years old on Philly’s historic boat house row. After being recruited as a coxswain to Drexel University, she found a love of weightlifting in the strength and conditioning room. Following graduation, she moved to Los Angeles and began training in Olympic Weightlifting at Waxman’s Gym under Sean Waxman. Through Cat’s time in the sport, she was a six-time National Championship competitor, with a silver medal in the snatch at U25 nationals, a bronze in the snatch at American Open Finals, and two top-10 National Championship finishes in the 55kg category. Cat found Search for Speed via a community tryout at her local gym and is excited to continue her athletic career in the Sprint Development Pool for USA Cycling. When she’s not training she works as Head Coach of Men’s Rowing at MAC Rowing Club. She enjoys crocheting, making music, and hanging out with her dog Obi.

  • Elliott’s journey to cycling started with his love for competitive athletics. Originally from Las Vegas, he ran track and field in high school and specialized in the 400-meter dash. He began his college career competing for Central Arizona College and later found himself at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities at the Division 1 level. Upon graduation, Elliott wanted a way to stay active that didn’t involve running, so he took up cycling. He joined a local bike shop where his boss taught him the ins and outs of all things cycling. Being a post-collegiate athlete, Elliott’s boss convinced him to try racing. In 2021, Elliott’s significant other Martina convinced him to move to San Diego, CA. Within the first month of living in California, Elliott signed up for the local velodrome introductory course and instantly fell in love with the sport. With his eye on sprints, he started training with the local sprints coach. Two years later he heard about the Search for Speed program and decided to test his skills. Elliott was able to advance through the program by pushing past the qualifying standards needed to enter the USA Cycling Sprints Daily Training Environment.

  • Hayley Yoslov is a newcomer to Los Angeles from Marin County, CA. Originally a cross-country mountain biker in the NorCal NICA league, Hayley placed second overall in Varsity for the 2023 season and was planning on continuing cycling recreationally in college. Her plans changed in April after she stumbled across a Search for Speed tryout at the Sea Otter Classic. From there, the stars aligned, and she was accepted to UCLA in May and the Search for Speed talent integration camp a few months later. She is currently a first year Human Biology major at UCLA with hopes to pursue a career in Sports Medicine. When not cycling or doing homework, she enjoys going to concerts, painting, and persuading her mom to bring her dog Volt.
